Position Summary:
Responsible for daily cleaning of assigned areas, supplying paper products and soap. Does discharge room cleaning . Cleans floors and other areas as assigned. Takes care of major floor cleaning and refinishing as well as project cleaning of walls, lights, and windows. Receives, stocks, and issues supplies to all areas of the hospital including linen. Records inventory using written as well as handheld devises and transfer to computer for downloading. Picks up trash, soiled linens and biohazardous materials. All work is done according to acceptable practices and procedures. Also is utilized for project moves and may be placed in other areas or assigned other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent, command of basic composition, math, and/or basic vocational training, with specialized vocational or trades skills. Previous experience with supply/equipment handling or decontamination preferred. Must possess mechanical aptitude to detect equipment malfunctions for safety to self and others. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
