Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Louisville, KY. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Windows System Administration team for Army Corp of Engineers (ACE) Information Technology Program. ACE-IT supports over 35,000 users via a complex IT infrastructure of Servers, Routers, Firewalls, and high performance computing systems.
Roles and Responsibilities.
Install, maintain, configure, and provide performance monitoring and tuning for Windows Servers at the CPC and other ACE locations. Ensure high availability of Servers and infrastructure including the Standard Procurement System, RMS, Citrix, and Primavera applications. Manages network and system performance of a multi-user computing systems. Responsibilities include designing the computing infrastructure, providing technical assistance and consulting to the users, and developing tools for managing the system. Design and develop server disaster recovery strategies. Troubleshoot high profile network performance issues utilizing root-cause analysis and recommend appropriate action.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below. Associates degree in information technology, networking, telecommunications, computer systems or equivalent experience. 5 years of Windows 2003 Systems Administration. 5 years experience managing Windows Servers and applications. 5 years experience troubleshooting user problems accessing or using Windows network systems. 6 years experience in a team oriented infrastructure support environment such as a data center. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration. Bachelor's degree in telecommunicatons, computer science, math, science, or engineering. Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certifications. MCSE, CCNA, CCNP. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and/or customer approval.
